Volkswagen Group is the largest ａｎｄ most successful international partner of China’s automobile industry. Initial contact between Volkswagen Group ａｎｄ China dated back in 1978, giving it the longest history with China’s automobile industry.
During the past 25 years, Volkswagen Group China has always taken the leading position in China’s automobile industry. In October 1984, Shanghai Volkswagen Corporation Ltd. was established, making it the first joint venture of Volkswagen Group in China. In February 1991, FAW-Volkswagen Corporation Ltd. was established in Changchun, which was the second joint venture of Volkswagen Group in China. The business scope of Volkswagen Group in China includes the production, sales ａｎｄ services of complete vehicles, parts, engines ａｎｄ transmissions. All the brａｎｄs of Volkswagen, Audi, Skoda, Bentley ａｎｄ Lamborghini, including imported vehicles of these brａｎｄs, have a business presence in China.
